Ficus carica 'Black Mission'

"Native to Caria and West Asia.
The 'Black Mission' fig was brought to the
U.S. by the Spanish Missionaries in 1575,
hence the name.
This large black fig with strawberry pulp can be
consumed fresh locally, or in dried,
canned, and preserved form."
